two 12s, how should I place em?

Im not sure if this is a repost or not, but I got 2 12s in my trunk and always wondered if I turned them facing the inside of my maX instead of having them "traditionally" facing outwards would it kick harder? I always wondered about it but wasent sure if I should even bother turning it around so im askin u guyz, the guy at the audio store told me it depends what kind of car it is. Also is there any trickz or cheap methods I can use 2 stablize the box from moving while Im driving?

If you fire the subs into the cabin, ie face the box toward the cabin, without first sealing the trunk totally from the cabin, you will experience cancellation and a reduction in output. Fire them toward the rear of the car.

As far as securing the box, I used L-brakets from HD.

Face them toward the rear of the car, like he said you WILL see a reduction in output.. Most of the bass comes from the rear of the enclosure rather than the actual cone of the sub.. Just my 2cents

face them into the trunk, you get a bit more spl. face them into the cabin, and your bass response will sound a bit tighter.

Lol..yes they recommend firing the subs toward the rear cause most of the actual sound comes from the rear of the box... correct them plz so we will know the truth

OMFG. I didn't know pieces of MDF could make noise. The output comes from the subs end of story.

The output does not come from the rear of the box. In a sealed enclosure, the subs pointed at the rear of the car utilize the trunklid or rear hatch to reflect the soundwaves back into the cabin. That is why it sounds louder this way, NOT because it's coming from the rear of the box. Point the subs toward the rear and listen to them with and without the trunk open all the way.

No, the actual mdf cannot make noise, but i'm talking about the soundwaves reflecting back and coming from the rear of the box into the cabin....

lmao, man everyone in here is a smart azz.... The output comes from the subs? I would have never guessed that??
