For those Pioneer AVIC series

Just recieved an email notifying me that the updated map discs are finally out. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pn...045943,00.html

I found it on eBay for about $45. Obviously it's a copy, but hopefully it works.

Do you think there's a possibility it's a software upgrade as well and will disable driving while watching a movie?

ooooh. that would be sneaky, but I highly doubt it. My N-1 works off the handbrake ground, and I have it grounded full time. No worries here.

Check this eBay auction out. Not sure how accurate the info is, but I'm gonna try it.

Yeah I used to have an N1 and did the parking brake mod also. I heard that if you upgrade the discs with the N2 discs .... you can't do the driving while watching dvds thing. Be careful!

i've always believed that it is in the interest of the manufacture to make the movie watching thing while moving easy to go around...
