HELLLLP, sub stopped working

So I'm driving for 30min, sub is working fine. Park for about 30min, turn radio on....no bass. I changed source on the radio, sub makes a sound but stops working. I pulled the sub to check tinsel leads (one had cut off a while back) and everything is fine and still connected. What could it be?

Loose wiring, amp shorting out, fuse, HU output issue, bad ground, loose/bad remote wire, it could be a number of things you're going to have to trouble shoot a bit in order to really figure it out. Double and triple check your wiring.

I know....I guess I will pull the dash tonight and check the RCAs. The weirdest part is, it was working....then just stopped. I'm praying nothing happened to the amp.

Ah so either the sub is toast (voice coil) sub channel is toast, or wiring is fubar'ed somewhere.

Hook the sub up to any one of the other channels of the amp and see if it works or remove the sub from the box and try it directly on the sub channel + one of the other channels to verify operation of the sub.

Hmm so feed a LP of 80Hz to his front stage? Sounds like a BAD idea. FTL.

For 5 seconds to test it leaving all settings the way they are, it's going to be no problem. He will be able to tell if the sub is working or not

I felt like a moron the other week when I finally installed my equipment. First it didn't work because I forgot to bolt the ground... Tilley was at me.

Later that night, it stopped working and I checked everything with the amp. Power light was on and all.

So 2 days later I drag out my old amp and half working sub to diagnose...
Then I realize the (-) speaker wire into the box came out
