I have that same model
I have several complaints, it reads MP3s slow as hell, and when I connectd the ipod adapter to it, it plays the music all in order and I can't control anything, I can't control the ipod from the TV or from the ipdo itself. I have to literally disconnect the ipod, pick the next song I wanna hear, then connect it again cause it doesn't work while its connected, playing music. Also, about the DVDs, I've had the same problem, it's like the pickiest DVD player in the world, you have to put abrand new DVD there, and even then, sometimes it won't work. I haven't had any problems with the Navi disk tho

mine plays my ipod perfectly fine... you should still be able to pick songs through your ipod with no problem... i connected my ipod with RCA cables with the adapter given by eclipse that would allow you to connect a VCR... anything else won't really work that well... and you can not change songs from the screen...impossible...

That sucks for me, heh cause I already paid the money and got the iPOD adapter, not an adapter for a VCR, and I can't control the iPOD while its connected, super frustrating. I was thinking of just getting the Avic-z1
