I have a 02 with bose. The headunit was stolen or shall i say ripped out So i have a new one (well used one) and it is a mess. I only have 2 harnesses and Im pretty sure there is supposed to be another one. I have it all hooked up except for some loose wires that have no where to go. The AM/FM works fine, ALL the speakers work correctly, and the screen lights up correctly. The problems are: dash lighting for the buttons doesnt work, steering wheel controls dont work, and the cd and tape players act like they are playing but NO sound comes out.

My question is this.... what am I missing and how do I get it? I think at least one harness to plug into the HU is missing. I only have 2 hooked up plus the remote wire. I have already gotten the wire colors from www.theowensfamily.com or whatever its called. It is the only reason ive gotten this far. If anyone has any advice let me know. Could i maybe get an aftermarket HU installation kit and use parts of that?

 

Need another ground?

Antenna should be plugged in as well as the two white connectors. Are any more wires torn?

 

oops i was not very accurate when describing what i DO have hooked up. I have both of the white harnesses plugged up and the antenna wire of course. I dont know why i said remote wire <---disregard that. Yeah i had 5 loose wires left still. One of them was the Brown with white stripe one. I grounded that so that the steering wheel controls for the non stereo stuff would work. I read about that in another thread. So yeah there are still 4 loose wires, thats why i thought there was maybe another harness i was supposed to have on the back of the HU. There are a couple more plug in points..... im confused.
