how deep cabin speakers?

I was thinking of getting Infinity Reference 6012I. They also have a shallow version. Crutchfield recommends shallow, but can I get by with regular w/o modification? Thanks.

Easy, do this...

then do this...

I just installed these last week and they are NOT the shallow ones. They are the full size 6012i's. I also installed the 6002i's (older model) in the rear doors.

Or you can use the plastic spacers that come with the speakers. They actually have the 3 bolt Nissan pattern in them, but I don't think they are thick enough.

Just an FYI. I purchased the 6012i's "new" off eBay for $63 shipped and purchased the 6002i's "used" off eBay for $25 shipped.

Ive fit the 6012si's in 5th gens before, front and rear, without any spacers in either. Not sure how comparable the depth is on a 4th gen, but you might not even need a spacer. Rings wouldn't hurt though.
