Putting a system in this car with the stock stereo...

Can it be done? Ive talked to a few different audio places and some say its a 2k1 bose so everything has to be taken out or it wont work right and some say just a HU and amp/subs would work good- is there a harness or something to wire a high-pass amp with the stock head unit or would it sound like ****? what about putting a better sub in place of the bose like a kicker free-air or a better amp, or do they have to be replaced at the same time?

nilesh's favorite subject.... how to add a system to a stock bose stereo.

pretty much what you do is tap the rear speaker outputs from the headunit and use those as your RCA outputs. Also there's a wire you can tap for the remote wire.

USE this diagram to help you out:
