ok so this is the first time i ever attempted to deaden my doors. i bought just some cheap stick on stuff from elemental designs. not the best stuff but wateva. anyway, i dont know much about doing the doors so here my questions. what do i do about all the wires? do i have to take everything off the door then put the deadener right on the metal? if i do that how is all of the wiring and stuff gonna go back in place with the stuff covering everythign? also do i do tge whole door and cover all the holes? like where you can see the window do i just go right over that hole or what? so confused

 

if you want the best sound, what i've seen is people remove everything that you can, apply the deadening material to actually the inside of the door (it would be on the direct opposite side of the painted skin (if you look from outside of car), then cover the complete other panel of the door (where all the plastic crap is, that should be removed), poke holes for wire passages if you cant re-route them and poke holes to mount the clips that hold the wires....

ive never done this yet so this is only a suggestion, please wait for someone to back me up on this or listen to other recommendations

There ya go! I covered everthing and cut slits in the deadener for the harnesses.

 

I always heard it was best to put some plastic on the door, and overlap the plastic, that way, in case you ever do have to get inside your door, you won't have to go through the trouble of pulling or cutting all the deadener off the door, I bet that'd be a pain in the rear..... maybe I'm wrong though. wouldn't be the first time, won't be the last I'm sure. lol

Did that to the front and almost as much on the rear doors. It's so quiet inside now that I can hear myself breathe while cruising down the highway at 100mph.
