Sorry if this is a repost..
When I am deadening my doors..do I remove the stock plastic permanently..or is it supposed to be put back?

What is the plastics purpose?

I did not put it back. I have my whole door behind the panel covered with sound deadener so I did not think it was necessary.

Depends how much deadening you do. my doors are 100% sealed with about 10sqft in each...plastic has nowhere to go at that point
