OEM Sirius to Aftermarket HU
#4
Ok, here's what I know.
In a 6th gen, if you get a PAC AAI-NIS it replaces the one of the harnesses that go to the Bose HU and makes the SAT feature an auxiliary input. That harness essentially would be the audio (and perhaps power?) input from the OEM Sirius. So there would only be a few wires that would have to be tested to see what the audio signal from the Sirius is.
BUT controlling the OEM tuner is a whole 'nother story, so the feasibility of this is probably minimal.
I am very intrigued, maybe someone else can shed more light.
