What kind of padding foam did you use?

Spray on?

That's foam that you buy and just glue on. My guess is he used spray adhesive.

Alright...time for some updates!

The next thing that I had to do was make a fiberglass peice for the middle back. I am using a much different technique in which I don't have to use any chopmat... I effing hate having to deal with that stuff. Anywho...

...here it is all resin'ed up...

...and popped out and trimmed...

...and here it is before padding wrap. It does not have to be perfect as 80% of the edges are going to be covered, so there is no reason to obligate additional time to this part.

Alright, now, the next item that will need to be adressed is the crossover openings. The first thing to do is to make the baseplate for the XO boxes. I used the padding for this as I have found it is just about as strong as fleece, and does not take up a bajillion oz. of resin unlike the fleece.

Here you can see the plate after it has cured.

...and after they have been trimmed.

The next step is going to be to wrap the crossovers. Covering them up in tape...

Here we will mark up the center point for both the plates and the crossovers...

Now we will wrap everything up and give them a resin bath.

Here they are all done!

Now you can see the boxes done. Pretty sweet, if I say so myself.

Finally, here is a VERY ROUGH idea of how this is going to look when it's in. This pic was tough as hell to take as it was quite hard to hold the frame in place while taking the shot!

Here Dan this will make you feel better to laugh at my behalf, so you know you're not the only one that messed up royally today.

Teachers are back to school this week. Theres some new hot ones too. Got a fresh hair cut and decided I was at that point of my life where my hair was a bit to grey for my age (I'm 31 and have one grey hair for every kid I've taught...two for some), so I got some just for men. ...the dark stuff cause my hair is black. Well I put it in , wash it out, and half my face is still black with that ****. I ry scrubbing it off till it becomes irritated. Only helps a little, but now my skin is red. I call the help line and they say to put hydrogen peroxide on it. Great! I have some around the house. Put it on and it feels like my skin is burning off. It's pussing up. Now my skin is red (irritation), white (pussing up), and black (still just for men on my skin).

I won't be laying pipe in any of the new teachers this year for sure I , unlike you, WILL NOT be posting pictures of the outcome of this incident!!!! I think I'm calling out sick tomorrow....

I might be shooting my load too early. It's late, I'm tired, and I need some more time to think about this.

But trust me when I say...it.s bad.

animaxima was being serious when he posted that, and it has already been taken care of.

Dan isn't banned, he just changed his user title on his own.

Alright, I’ll have pics up tonight regarding this mess. Basically, the angles I made were too steep to get the suede to stretch properly and it just became a logistical nightmare to go back and fix. Lamentably, I am going to scrap the current design, although the existing setup for the trunk is going to work A-OK. I am going to be doing the wrap a second time this weekend as I want to get this fuggin thing done. The new version is going to be quite similar, although the angles are going to be a lot easier to work with.

The new version is going to be painted...here we go...
