About $100. I am going to be aiming to finish up the overhaul this week, I just have to re-wrap the dash and IT'S DONE. [This] project takes precedence...

As well, just for future installs, no need to glue as much as you did, to get the best, tightest fit, pull all of your weatherstriping/rubber gaskets. Then lay tape, and alum. foil. then put your fleece and pull working one area at a time, then lay foil or wax paper and push the weather stripping down, it sound complicated, but it is the tightest fit possible, and it will fit nicely up under the weatherstriping.
No, no, and no. I completley disagree with you on all accounts here. I woul also have to cover the weather stripping at that point in time AND have a larger gap where the weatherstripping is.As well, just for future installs, no need to glue as much as you did, to get the best, tightest fit, pull all of your weatherstriping/rubber gaskets. This is all for helping out. I have done quite a bit of FG'n so I know a little about it.

But so far it is going out decently well, just to throw everything in there and do it that quickly.
So what I'm getting from this is you're considering it to look sloppy, so I should just half-a'ss the rest. But so far it is going out decently well, just to throw everything in there and do it that quickly.

Two biggest things is I would have added the rings, because your going to have to cut the fleece out to put the subs in, and doing something where the U-bars are hidden, is going to be a tough job now, after all the glass'n you have done.
Yeah, that will be a PITA. Two biggest things is I would have added the rings, because your going to have to cut the fleece out to put the subs in, and doing something where the U-bars are hidden, is going to be a tough job now, after all the glass'n you have done.

He already has the mold for it. If he slang them for 225 plus shipping he would more than make up for cost, time, energy and effort.

Dan, you don't get out much, do you?
Seriously though, your projects are always impressive in the extent of creative ideas you follow through on. I don't much care about trunk and sub setups, but am always interested to see what you'll do next.

It took me an entire afternoon to mold the initial frame, not to mention that fact I have 2 subfloors and will be adding the third tommorow.

Just a of the workplace...it was a BUSY day.

Shot of the trunk...I removed end section the 2nd deck to cut the recess for the amps...

A shot of the left, hand crossover recess...

...and the right...

...and the peice altogether.

The remaining steps...
(1) Clean up the edges on the FG. - DONE.
(2) Fabricate mounts for crossovers (NOT fun)
(3) Cut hole in deck for grounding wires
(4) Glue floorboard supports together - DONE.
(5) Put decks back together
(6) Final Test Fit
(7) Glass trunk latch section
(8) Clean-Up/Sand Latch section
(9) Run audio/power wires
(10) Run CCFL lighting
(11) Suede Wrap for box
(12) Install amps & X-Overs
(13) Suede Wrap for FG
(14) Install FG
(15) Install Subs
(16) Fabricate final floorboard
...sounds like alot, but in all actuality, the majority of the work is done.
There's a chance of rain tommorow, but hopefully I will be fortunate enough to avoid it. If all goes well, this project will be done and over with by the 20th.

Looks good as always.
