4th gen bose question

I been reading a bunch of threads already but still I am still kinda confused. I have a 95 SE with the factory Bose system, all the speakers are blown. I have four aftermarket speakers already and I will probably replace the HU with a aftermaket HU too, but I was told I need to rewire all the speaker wires for it to sound right, if I run a aftermarket HU. Is that true ? or is there a way that I can bypass the bose amp and use the factory wires.
What exactly do I need to do to replace the Bose HU and speakers with all aftermarket ??

Thanks in advance

it's pretty easy, just cut the wires going into the bose amps, and solder a new run of wires to your new speakers. since your speaks are shot, take out the amps and try selling them on ebay.
