Review Audiokraftwerk KW 4150 + KW 4V8: In this complete version we tested the KW 4150, because the two units together make for a truly great team. While the amplifier concentrated only on the amplification of the signals, the preamplifier box managed everything else - and that is a lot ... In terms of control comfort and equipment virtually no wish is left unfulfilled! The excellent signal-to-noise ratio of 97 dB is beneficial in that all the filters are external and thereby do not load the signal path of the amplifier ... With 56 amps maximum-current input in the 2-ohm-modus und a hefty efficiency of 70.9 percent during maximum power, the amplifier earned itself great praise ... In the listening test, the Rainbow amplifier showed itself to be sound-wise as well at a healthy level. In the bass range the four-channeller made taut and voluminous music beautifully, without laying it on too thick, however ... Result: The equipment and, above all, the practical control concept of the KW 4150 sets are outstanding. An interesting package of amplifier and preamplifier!
Very nice!

Guess I'll post my initial thoughts here as well.
The amps are much better looking in person IMO. Of the two, I like the monoblock better. It just feels much more solid than the 4 channel (not to mention it was a pain removing the 4 channel's cover to show the internals). The top mount controls on the monoblock is a nice touch. So, overall, I'm quite pleased on how they look and feel. Now to hook these suckers up...
