Weeeeening noise.

Ok, i installed a microvision 7 inch screen, install went fine, i even un-did my head unit and rewired everything ( Twice ) and the screen works fine. But when i have my ps2 plugged in i hear no noise but when i turn the ps2 on i hear a " weeeeeeeeeeen "-ing noise. I made sure the RCA's arent near a power source, tried 6 different grounds, i even cut open my inverter and wired it directly to the battery. anything i try im still hearing this weeening noise. wierd thing is, i dont hear it when the car is off, my dvd's and games play fine and no noise, but as soon as i start the car up i hear it.

i grounded it a couple places, i tried direct connecting it to the harness where it says Chassis gorund on the harness, then i tried Amp Ground on the harness ( my harness has 2 ground wires? ) then i wrapped it around what im using for the ground fo the screen, still making the noise, you think that's the prob though? i didnt get indepth with tryna ground the hu cuz it worked perfect my music plays fine and whatnot.

Neither of them are a ground. One is a wire going to nothing, the other is to ground the factory amp...also nothing.

You need to find a bolt and ground it to that.

12 gauge for hu ground? You'd be fine with 18-20...

what brand head unit do you have? I've had alot of problems with the rca's on customers Panasonic decks. The common solution is to ground all the RCA's to the deck itself. Try that.

i once had this same noise coming from my pioneer unit, i found that if you take a very thin piece of wire and stick it inside the rca's where they connect to the HU outputs, and take that wire and ground it to the radio chassis it took my noise right out.
