Is anyone running a H/O Alt???

I was just wondering if anyone has a high output alt, and if so how many watts are you running, how many amps is your alt, where did you get it, how much $$, and how well does it perform... Thanks a lot for your help -Rick

most "H/O" alternators are just upgraded GM ones and from what ive heard that dont seem to last that long maybe a year or two tops everyone i know who has gotten them they have died. If your running this big of a system and you need such a h/o alt i suggest you start with the BIG 3 method before purchasing a new alt

with all this being said, you do know that the lower the final impediance is the more stress it will put on your alternator/charging system. There is a big difference between 2 ohms and 4 ohms where as at 4 ohms the lights barely dimm.
