You can go to Best Buy and pick up an Alpine for about $180. They also have your Kenwoods and Pioneers.

BestBuy FTL! You then have to buy installation accessories.

Crutchfield sells at same price and you get all required wiring harnesses, antenna adapters, and faceplate FREE!

Ordered my headunit from them for the same price and had nothing more to buy. Excellent service, super fast shipping.

As far as I know you can't hook Bose to non-Bose or vice-versa. But, you can hook Bose units from other Nissans to your Bose Max. The most popular option is the newer Pathfinder 6-disc unit because the display is a similar color to your existing Bose. Look in the 4th gen forum.

+! FTMFW!

I especially love Alpine's high-speed iPod cable... Only $30 and works better then all the others. The only bad thing is the counter-intuitive controls for settings, especially when selecting songs on the iPod (read the reviews). Panasonic and Pioneer are also good, but Pioneer's recent models are too much "bling" for my tastes.

Technically you could, you would just have to do some re-wiring. Wouldn't be all that difficult.

This unit is under $200 on fleabay, I read the first Crutchfield review and it made me want to get one. I went with a different model though. I ordered this instead (off fleabay for $154 shipped). Since I know nothing of time alignment.
