False Floor Robbing me of vibration from my W7. Need some direction for a new floor.

Well, over the years, the false cardboard floor has cracked and now sunken itself to the point where the sub has now nestled itself into the spare tire well. The sub literally sits on top of the spare and the cardboard sprouts up and creates an uneven trunk.
It's time to make a real floor, one that will stand up to the sub, but wont weigh my car down more than the 12w7 already is, the box with sub is nearly 100lbs.
Now, when I move the sub to the corner of the trunk, it is able to transmit energy much better through the cars unibody, and feels much more satisfying as it is sitting directly on the metal frame. instead of being isolated by the friggin cardboard false floor. Now with the sub in this position it still overlaps onto the false floor due to its size and because it is completey destoyed, the sub teaters so thats this position is not going to work. As well, the corner loading method also intruduces phase issues. and I can tell that the sub is on one side of the vehicle. The sub blends much better with the fronts when it is in the middle of the rear of the trunk, equi distant from each speaker.
So what have you guys used to make a better false floor? I want to make it pretty large so it expands accross the actual trunk unibody. I plan on coupling the new false floor to the trunks sheet metal using blue tack or something similar and then I will use L brackets or something to couple the sub to the new false floor, this way The sub will transfer energy through the vehicle better. I wish I had an SUV sometimes. They are so easy to get good bass in. I would appreciate all advice that you guys might have on maximizing energy transfer and false floor rebuilding. Thanks

Somebody here makes a good remedy for the sagging trunk. You sound like your going to use actual metal. You're better off using plywood (lighter than MDF, don't use it where you don't need it) Then use the L-brackets to hold the box down in the back. If you're not lazy you can make an access door to the spare in the floor.

thats my false floor

I would suggest you take the carpet out of your trunk and trace it and then get a 1/2 inch piece of wood or 3/4 and cut it out with your jigsaw. Thats usually why i do in maximas to make the floor flat.
