Can anyone please tell me if these speakers will fit in a 2003 for the front doors??? I am meeting the guy to buy these speakers in a few hours and just wanted to make sure before i go buy it.. please does anyone know?? It said it would be a direct fit for most newer GM vehicles and most European cars..

yes, they will...though, you might need an mdf ring to move out the speaker a little like i did b/c the window hits the magnet when you wind the windows down.

Yes, you'll need to make some like nismopc's (like I did as well) - found on my cardomain.

Glad I found this, I have the VR650 CXi speakers, guess I need to make a ring as well. Now all I need to figure out is how this factory head unit comes out, anyone here that can give me a step by step?? I'm assuming the shifter bezel probably pops off revealing a couple screws and that the panel above the radio with the 2 vents pops off as well, revealing a couple more screws. Is this right?? Just want to make sure before I try to pry on this stuff. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

there is a write up somewhere.. i was lookin for it last week bit tricky to find.. but so far you are on the right path.. you will need a bit of force to get the vents off.. i found that to be the toughest thing.. also don't drop those screws.. i drop one of them and it fell in this small crack where all my shift links were.. and it would jam sometimes when shifting cuase i couldnt get the screw out.. then i found this awesome tool with a magnet to get the scews out..and voila!.. anyhow.. your are on the right path.. just need lots of force to get the vents off.. i pulled out and then up

When you pull your OEM speakers out, you can trace around their shape, and they will match up perfectly.
