Someone please gimme instructions on how to remove the dash on an '01 GXE with a stock stereo. I got the CD add-on that goes in the empty space under the unit and I'm freakish about breaking anything. Many thanks in advance. (I've looked at the How-to's but they're for GLE's and SE's, and it looks like the GXE is made differently).

When I removed mine I took my fingers inside the air vents above the stereo and pulled ever so gracefully. The top will snap off as well as the rest of the bezel. If you still feel uncomfortable doing it, take it to a reputable stereo shop near you.

Yessssir!

Started at 7pm .... finished 8:15pm. Spent 1/2 hour trying to get the vent piece out ..... just till I pulled with enough force for it to pop out! It was smooth sailing after that. Finally got a CD in my GXE, oh yea.......
