6x9 speakers in rear deck???/
actually i got two questions for those who know about 4th generations, especially the 98's. will 6x9's fit in the rear deck??? also when i had my car dynamatted, the installer noticed a nice compartment in the rear doors for room speakers....he said maybe around 6 1/2" worth of room. anybody know or ever installed speakers in that area??? thanks.

First of all, there would be no real benefit for you to install speakers in the rear doors. It simply wouldnt be cost effective and it wont sound very good. Your rear speakers should be playing about 10db quieter than your fronts ina properly setup system so i would just stick with 6 1/2 in the back and lots of dynamat.
You can easily fit 6X9s in the back deck. I was about to throw a 10 in there, until I realized the only way it would fit (underneath) would be for me to remove the trunk opening mechanism. Thats another good thing about maximas, lots of room in the back deck

i have a 90 SE and my stock Boss speakers were 6x9s. I took out the plate and got a new one made so I could fit 6.5" custom mids in there. I like 6.5"s better. I think they put out clearer sound, especially if you got some good subs...
