Totally newb question but very simple.

I want to wire up my xm radio so that no wires are visible. I'm a total noob when it comes down to splicing wires and stuff because i don't want to accidentally burn something.

Anyway i want to hook up the power wire to the cig lighter from the back. How exactly should i do this? Which of the wires on the cig light should be used, and how exactly should i do this. Thanks for any help (Flame if you want)

Spend the $5-10 bucks on a female cigarette lighter adapter that has its own 12v and ground wires for you to hardwire. The XM units run at either 5 or 6 volts, so you cant just cut off the cig lighter plug and connect wires. Assuming your cig lighter switches on with the key, you can take the power and ground wires from the socket adapter you buy and wire them directly to the cig lighter wires, one of which will be black (ground).
