Looking for Sirius radio antenna install help!!!

I'm going to buy a Sirius satellite radio for my 02 Maxima and was wondering if anyone had any pics or could give a good description of how they ran the wire for the antenna. I'm thinking of installing mine on the roof over the drivers side door because the run to the receiver will be much shorter and easier that going from the rear of the roof. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

3M double stick foam tape...put it at the top of the dash where the dash meets the windshield. The clock pops right out, run the wire down through the clock area to the radio. It doesnt really need to be outside the car, as long as it has a clear view up, and putting it outside the car will only lead to the antenna having wear and tear problems sooner.

When I had mine I just magnetically stuck it to the top of the radio itself inside the dash. Never had any problems. Don does the same with his installs.

I stuck mine on the trunk lid. With the spoiler there you can hardly see it. Then ran the wire into the trunk, through the seats, along the floor on the passenger side and under the passenger seat (where the JVC Sirius box is located).

I have XM Radio, but installed mine similiar to Murphy5156. It sits right on the center of my trunk near the rear window. Wire runs into trunk with stock trunk wire loom then follows passenger side up to the front passenger kick panel where my XM Radio box is.

I ran mine right to the back window as most are done. I have an 02 SE and from there ran it along the top of the window and down the driver's side to the trunk. I put a couple small pieces of black putty over the antenna wire in the window groove to keep it in place and you can't see it unless you look hard for it. I also used some black electrical tape to keep it tight in the trunk area before running it from the trunk.

I then ran it around the back seat by releasing it and tucking it under the seat. From there I popped plastic things on the floor up and ran the wire through there to the front of my car on the driver's side. I have my sirius just to my left with a window mount so I ran it up under the plastic on the left dashboard to keep the wires hidden.

To run the power to it I ran the AC down the left dash then up under the foot controls; a little tough but you can feed it through to keep it up under the dash. I then popped the middle console up and ran the wire under there and you can just see it come out to plug into the cigarette lighter.

Probably took 30-45 mins tops and all you need is some black putty, a flathead screwdriver and some electrical tape. If you take your time you can do it with no problems, trust me I've as novice as they come.

The antenna works perfectly fine even INSIDE the dash magnetically stuck to the top of the radio. Or put it on top of the dash down where the windshield meets it.
