edi6500 to a/d/s 346cs an upgrade or sidegrade?

Would this change from the edi6500 to the ads be an upgrade? The ads seem to be very well built, as the 346 is the flagship model from a little while ago. I have been trying to get more detail out of my edi's/ Today I swapped in a set of Type X crossovers I have laying around and they really put new life into them, but now its got me thinking that my edi-6500's arent really the cats meow like some think. The ads are going for a great deal, and it is getting all too tempting. Any thoughts guys and gals? the ads have a grat reputation and I have heard the the directed buy out really didnt affect their quality in a negative way. Comments and advice needed. I am powering with a jl 300/4 bridged to 150X2 so power is adequate.

If the price is that good, I would say go for it, they have a good reputation, but the problem is that not many of us have too much experience with ADS.

I have a/d/s 336 components in the front and coaxials in the back (about 5 years old or so now) and they still sound amazing (to me).
