i had to clean my sensor a few weeks ago. dust ftmfl! there were spots in my pics...more noticeable when a shot of the sky was involved.

oh and i wouldn't recommend using a brush to clean it. i got this...works like a charm:

Im back on real internet. Still tired as hell. 3 hours of sleep on Christmas night, then a 15 hour day of 29 cars in my small 2-bay shop in my small ass college town, then slept, woke up for another 11 hour day at work today. But finally back on real internet, able to keep up with posts/threads.

installing the crossovers should be fun

i took out the front seats when installing my SLC's. the wires from the trunk pops out under each front seat...so that's where i had the SLC' xovers mounted.

During summer, when theres nobody in this town, its probably 3-5 cars a day. Now, during school when the population of Gainesville probably about doubles, its probably 6-8, both numbers pretty dependent on what day of the week, because most weekdays there are only 2 people in the shop all day. But our shop hours are also extended, so its not too fair of a comparison, because we were 8am-10pm, whereas during non-holiday times, were usually 10am-8pm, so weve essentially got an extra 4 hours.

We had 4 of us installers all day on the 26th, and I was sort-of crew cheif, checking in cars, dealing with customers, answering phones, calling customers saying their vehicle is done, etc, while installing easy radios here and there, which left the other 3 guys to install uninterrupted. We did just over $2k in labor alone, which is small compared to other stores in large markets with 3+ bays, who can do 50+ cars on the 26th.

The only thing I was surprised about was that we met our budgets, being that the 26th fell on a weekday. Circuit city (and Im sure best buy) was worried more about it this year, because the 26th hasnt fallen on a weekday in 7 years, which meant a lot of people would have to go back to work, which would affect our budgets on the biggest install day of the year. But surprisingly, we had a good amount of business.

Woot. I really hope we make bonus. The beginning of the month started slow, but if we keep making budgets the next 4 days, I get a nice bonus check. Got another long day tomorrow, so Im passing out. Later.
