Best tint? Couldnt tell ya...he uses Madico and has been for about a decade with little or no problems-at least from any of my customers. Although I 'can' tint...it takes me a loooooong time. Im not very patient with and you need to be. The cars he did this morning took about two hrs..'06 Acura RSX and '06 Mustang GT. Woulda taken me the whole day.

well regulation was 35% on the sides, and anything on the back. but they recently changed it to 25% sides.

If I tinted I'd go 35% all the way around, but I'm scurred of cops on my commute every day.

wow 35% is like nothing IMO...but I have FL sun daily. I will never tint a car lighter than 20% as long as I live in FL, or wherever I feel I can get away with it. My friends in HS rode around with double limo tint, but they were drug dealers. In FL it is very common to rock the 5% all around. I want to do it but I don't want the pigsters all over me.

whats the limit in your area? 35% is so light to me...but maybe my tan interior makes it look light.

y'all are some little bishes. I used to roll around with 2 layers of 10% film over the TE "gold" window film on my 03 max. The factory film allows 98% of light, so 10% of 10% of that is .98% light permission. When the cops would read my windowns and the unit would register ** (it means error, or 0%) they'd laugh at me while they let me drive away.

Not if it is done properly. You get one layer done, let it cure completely, then add the second layer and let it cure completely (even use a heat gun for a tiny bit to assist in curing). I had no problems with it, just make sure you have a competent and ****-retentive installer and you should do fine.

Try it out, my guy up here can do the ceramic film for $240. No radio/cell interference FTW. The maxima used to be a black hole for signal.

hmm That is nice but I might get it done in Gville over this weekend. I will keep that quote in mind. I can do 240 but I also have to get my tint removed. I think 15% might be too dark, and the ultimate looks good at 18%. I know 3% doesnt matter but I wonder if its cheaper too.

ah, well my tint shop have been in the business for over 2 decades...so i think they're pretty competent...dunno how **** they are though heh.

you think another layer of 35 would make a drastic difference?

the film is all one price, from what I understood. My guy would prob do you a favor w/ the tint removal...but dont hold me to it, I will have to ask him first. 15% is what's on my M5 right now, and its not dark by any means.

why even waste the time, hell, you live in TX. It must be godawful when it's sunny out w/ that light tint. Go get film as dark as you can get away with.
