NJ laws are nothing on the front 2 windows, whatever you want on the rear 3 windows.

The rears on my max are like 20% and the fronts don't look like they have any (so maybe like 90%).

The state has really cracked down on us here. Legal tint on the front is 42% and anything goes on the rear. I haven't tinted the front since I want it to match the back (it's a black car too-it looks silly without dark tint). So yeah, I just haven't gotten it done yet.

+1 on the driving around in a fishbowl. I hate having people stare at me all the time....it's not my fault I'm so damn sexy

Posting because nobody else has posted in almost 24 hours.

Im in a fishbowl as it is. I de-tinted my fronts because they were peeling really bad. The tint was done before I got the car. I need to de-tint the rears and bring it in to get redone...but I keep spending money on audio instead.

The only thing Ive heard horror stories about is de-tinting the rear glass being that it has the antenna and rear defroster built in. Other than that, should be an easy job. And yes, Im willing to drive to get quality work.

I've heard its difficult, but not impossible....mostly being due to the simple lack of workspace. The antenna and defrosters are pretty well embedded in the glass, I dont think they're going anywhere.

de-tinting the rear glass isn't dangerous by any means, its just a major PIA getting alllllll the glue off. rectangle razor blade is your friend.. it also helps to leave the car in the blazing sun on a hot day, tape black trash bags to the inside of your rear window to get the glue as loose as possible... even then its a pain. you can leave some small bits of the glue (it'll be un-noticeable), unless you're planning on re-tinting the rear window... then it will show up like a sore thumb

be careful who you advise to use a blade...it will break the defogger lines. Steel wool and some glass cleaner works like a charm.

A metal blade will factually break the lines. Some use plastic blades, but Ive never met a soul in nearly 20 years that would use a metal blade over the defogger lines.

Don does sell Cascade, I've got it in all my door panels.

Just got back from some drankin in New Brunswick. $3 jack and cokes, $3 margaritas for the ladies. Somewhat ripped right now and I have to be up in 4 hours to get ready for work...FTL.
