Don please Step in(Audio nightmare)

Hey, i know you know your stuff therefore i want you to help me lol, I"ve sold my maxima back in may,now i drive a 03 Acura Cl, i purchased a Pioneer D1 Navi we wired everything up and i bought a line converter i still have a stock speakers (Bose), therefore a buddy and I located the stock Bose amp, tapped the Remote turn on it worked without a line coverter but my buddy said its not good without one, so we hook up the line converter(double checked the color code) and we are stuck any idea on how to get sound and bypass bose amps? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

you dont really need the line converter. As long as you play your music at a resonable volume. All you need to do hook the remote turn on from the headunit to the bose amp remote turn on wire. You'll be fine providing you dont blast your bose speakers. The speakers will be pretty loud at lower volumes in this situation. If you feel the need you can hook up the line out converter

Read the stickies. Splice some RCA's from your D1 preouts to your Bose line level inputs.

You're not trying to bypass the Bose amp(s). You're trying to give it/them the correct signal.

drop the LOC. get some cheap RCAs and cut the ends, and wire it up to the harness getting the signal from the preout vs. the high level. sometimes this gives you engine noise tho.. pre-outs are cleaner then the high-level. i don't know about rewiring to bypass the amp, the resistances on bose speakers are usually kinda weird. in nissan's case... 1ohm, which would overheat your D1.

Read the Stickies, Car Audio FAQ, page 2, post by myself. I described the process in detail of adding an aftermarket radio to Bose, itll be the same for your Acura as a Maxima.

go to the factory amp, disconnect it, toss it in the street....add new amp.

Bose sucks, but in Acuras its surprisingly worse than Nissans.
