I know, I know..Check the FAQs..

my hu just came in the mail and i'm installing it..but with a few questions. i ordered through crutchfield so i have the free wire harness and stuff but i'm planning on keping my bose stuff in there for now until i can afford to scrap it all, which could take a while (6 mo-2yrs or so) so I need an instalation that sends signal only to the amps that is a little better than just temporary. I was planning on hooking it up like i saw on the FAQs- splice rca's onto the bose speaker leads that go to the bose amps and connect them to the hu's preouts (to avoid buying the metra 7551, because connecting rcas is the same thing, right?).. other than that everything is pretty straightforward, but i wanted to confirm that that would work. my hu has 4v preouts if that makes a difference.. thanks

Sorry for posting my question in your thread because I am not allowed to open new thread without enough posts.

I am replacing the BOSE HU with a Pioneer DEH-P3900MP on my Maxima 2000. Just want to check where in chassis do people normally attach the HU ground wire to?

Thanks.

I connected mine to one of the holes in the metal frame on the sides in the back of the area behind the hu.

just find a bolt that will fit snugly and make sure to sand the area to get a good ground.

Thank you very much for the info.

I am using metra 70-7550 with Scosche OEA-4 adapter. There is also a wire labled "Amp Ground" (black/white stripe ) from 70-7550. Where do you connect this wire to?
