Stereo issue
I have a pioneer radio and a amp some components in the front and some mid level pioneer speakers in the rear. Sometimes when I turn the volume up I hear popping in my speakers. It stayed for a while I thought it was a pinched wire, fixed that it went away. Now it is back, any ideas what could be causing this. The popping will be heard in all speakers.
Its possible that your HU is "clipping", or that (and this is my guess) your HU is pushing more power to those speakers than they can handle. People often assume that *a* speaker blows... If you gave it enough juice to pop one, you generally gave it enough to pop *more* than one. I'd check for blown speakers first... Test the resistance between the + and - terminals of the speaker - you should get very close to the speaker's rating (usually 4 or 8 ohm). Then push *lightly* on the cone itself **NOT THE DUST CAP AT THE CENTER** and watch the resistance - if your meter dives for zero at some point in the cone's travel, you have a blown speaker. Repeat 4x.
