01 SE Sub going on and off

What could be the problem,,,everything was fine up to a few weeks.. I have to hit the top of the sub grill so it can work..... any ideas?

loose wire somewhere? check that out, check the connections at the terminals on the sub underneath the amp and all other connections too. otherwise i have no clue
