So for the last 6 hours or so I've been trying to run my power wire through the firewall in my 5th gen and from what I've heard youre just supposed to run it through where the hood release cable pops into the cabin. well for about 3 of those hours I've been wondering this:

HOW?

I've tried just about every way I can think of and now i'm left with some chopped off bits of tangled wire and the end of my hood release cable somewhere in between the battery and the inside of the firewall

Was i supposed to take off the wheelwell or something? because i'm pretty sure i'll have to now anyway but i didn't see that in anyones instructions for doing this.. it seemed to prety much be "just run it through the hood release cable gromet..."

help?

 

Yes take off the wheel well liner.

 

lol. take the wheel well off on the drivers side. towards the firewall will be a black grommet with wires running through it in a bundle. there are pics on housecors site. under the how-to make angel eyes switch.
