Alarm Too Loud!
Alarm Too Loud!
I have a really loud alarm horn and it drives the neighbors crazy! Is there anything I can do to kind of quiet it a little besides re-locating? I tried to put some paper towels in it to quiet it but it didn't work.
Talking about chirp confirmation?
not really, no. you could find a smaller siren, but it would really only help a little.
what brand alarm?
It's really the length of chirp the brain puts out that makes a difference. just mute it if it bothers you that much...

Maybe you can turn the sensitivity down on the alarm so it won't go on as often and not bother your neighbors. Every time a car with a loud exhaust pass by, the car in the next parking lot always turn on, while mines doesn't. Yet mines is sensitive enough to give a warning beep when you kick the tire lightly, and turns on if u kick it harder. I got a 2-way alarm and I wouldn't want any false alarms and making me run out to look at my car =D.
To make the sound lower, maybe you can build a cardboard box and put the siren in there. If it's still too loud, a thicker cardboard box? =P If still not good enough, try a different material.. i don't know.. metal? plastic? Good luck!
