Pathfinder Headunit

Can I use the Headunit from a 07 Pathfinder in my 4th Gen Max? I know you can use an 05, but a friend of mine gave me his stock radio from his 07 and i'd like to use it if I can. Also, is the HU (05 or 07) gonna be plug and play or am I going to have to do some electrical work/modification. Thanks.

well the 05 needs to be modified i think. Cutting some wire. I can't remember what tho. Look in the mod faqs. There should be a link to using the 05 PF HU. Fitment might be a problem too.

i think there is about 2 wires to play with either cut splice or remove cause of the steering wheel inputs. the 4th gen radio bracket needs to have new holes drilled into to mount the PF one as well.

i'm pretty sure the PF HU is a BOSE so you should have bose as well. cause i just looked at the 07 PF's and the same BOSE HU is in there with the 05's so yea.

I appreciate the help, I checked to faqs and searched, but didn't find anything. I have Bose, so that's no problem, I just need to know which wires to mess around with and what exactly I need to do with them.
