Got my 15" Fi BL

Just put it in and it is LOUD i need to do some more deadening, on top of all that ive already done. Ill have some pics soon. Its in 4cubes tuned to 32hz powered by a hifonics bxi1600d (Soon i will be upgrading the amp) it's very loud and sounds great. Just thought id give a thumbs up for the Bl, Because i don't think anyone else on here has the 15 yet. All around could not be happier. Pics soon!!

There pics of the Q's in another thread. Teh gay thread, if it is still around. The BL's have not been ordered yet. The Q's are being held for someone on ca till next week. I have a second person waiting to see what he does. My Diamond amp went poof, so I need to take it back to the brick and morter I bought it from. It will be replaced most likely with a ZX2500.1.

As far as Fi. Great people. I live about 15 mins from Shawn and have had numerous conversations with Scott, the owner. The Q's I had slaughtered my TDX's. They sounded just as good and got lower in the same box. I may actually go back to them if the BL's don't fit my bill. I am sure they will be louder, but they have to sound good too. I will let you guys know what happens.

I also wanted to take a look at the Alpine CDA-9887 when it comes out. Eventhough I do not think it will be as flexible as the CD7000/CD7100.

Going to have to check out the 7100 now.Has the non-fader adjustment improved yet? One of the few major gripes I have about my current Eclipse HU.

I will start out by complimenting the HU. The 8455 has by far been the best HU I have ever had. The tuning options are almost endless. Pro-mode is awesome. The basic 7 band and crossover offers more than enough tuning for the casual listener.

My three biggest gripes. The non-fader is limited. It def needs a higher level of adjustment. My Alpine was far superior in this area. I was able to go from all out to a wisper with just the non-fader output. The band is very narrow and comprimise in output had to be made.

The track and volume ***** are super sensitive. With just the slightest touch, I will scroll through 3 tracks with very little input. This, however, is minor as is the next.

Along with the ESN, the face is not detatchable. Something it seems they have remedied.
