Upgrade Bose

I have a 2000 max with bose. i want to upgrade to a very good sounding system. I know this will cost alot of money so i will be doing in parts. I already have a HU, I have heard of rainbow to being some top of line speakers for interior. In my 4th gen I have CDT cl61 I believe components and coax rears with a amp giving them about 80 watts. It sounded ok, I just something alot better than that. Later I will go with a sub, but my main thing now is getting the interior speakers with amp. I want to get quality sound but alot louder than the CDT speakers I had. Any suggestions?

The HU I have is a KVT-617DVD I want the the amp to power all interior speakers.

You're not getting any replies because your post is very vague. You say you already have a HU...which one? Do you have a budget for either the 4 channel amp or the mids/highs? Rainbow has 10 different lines of speakers...your budget will designate what anyone recommends, as well as recommending a 4 channel amp that will power said components accordingly.

Um I'd recommend the Rainbow SLCs if you're on a slight budget they retail for around $200+ used/new

If you have money to spend then go with Rainbow Germaniums for $450

For an amp...you could always go with an Elemental Designs nine.2 amplifier which does 100w x 2 @ 4 ohm which is ideal for the SLCs

Good Components + Amp will run you at around $400 if you shop around.

So far my audio shopping has cost around $1000...but I'm totally getting rid of my Bose setup so...yes I expect a dramatic change lol.

Yes I am considering going with the Rainbow Germaniums for the fronts, the component. As for the rears should I put in the soundline sl? What amp would put out the suficients power to give me the best out of these particular speakers?

For others reading, the OP IMed me and said he has a $1000 budget for the amp and mids/highs, and wants rear fill.

I said with that money Id get germs, sl rears, and a Kar600.4.
