car broken into/ alarm problems

car broken into/ alarm problems

my car was broken into a while ago. i have a nice viper alarm they broke the pass. window but my alarm did not go off. and they did disconect the batt or anything. what could they have done to not make my alarm go off. they took my flip out face plate and remote. i am very clue less any help would be aprreciated.

maybe your shock sensor was not up high enough..they could have used a spark plug or something to "quietly" break the glass. I have my shock sensor up so high, that whe I lock the car and the windows go up..the sensor gives a warning.

Maybe you should get an audio sensor for the viper alarm, that will react to any glass break.

shock sensors don't react from sound..

arm your car and test it... the car was probably in valet mode.. that or the shock sensor is set way too low

first what did they get and second if you arm the system can you open your doors without the alarm going off

they took m pioneer flip out face plate and the remote. if i arm the system and have the window open. i unlock it from inside and open it and the alarm goes off

well then there are only 2 reasons why your system didn't work....it wasn't armed and that is why it never went off or they climbed threw the window which isn't an easy task
