component ohm loads.

ok im confused, do tweeters hold an ohm load? if i had a 4 ohm component set does that mean, i have a 2 ohm speaker and a 2 ohm tweeter? or an 8ohm/8ohm? i cant seem to find this info. just 4 ohm systems. reason im asking is if you run a component woofer without the tweeter. is that bringing down the ohm load?

the tweets are usually 4 ohms by themselves. same thing goes for the woofer. you can run the component woofer by itself without seeing a drop in the total resistance unless you wire another woofer into parallel. then the ohm will drop to 2 or so.
