i had a question, i am looking for a dvd in dash i like the double din head units but i need navigation in it. and i am on a budget of about $650 i can only find a few double dins within my price range that have navigation without having to buy the $400 navigation component. so i was thinking about doing the pop out dvd nav since they are cheaper. but i do not like the idea of the front vents being blocked by the screen in my 2000 gxe. in all the pictures i have seen the pop out dvd is located in the top portion of the dash kit. I was wondering if anyone has seen any pictures of a pop out in the bottom portion of the dash kit where it is lower than the vents. id just want to know if i were to put a single din pop out screen in the lower portion of the dash if it would block the vents so if anyone has any pictures so i can see how it looks itd be greatly appreciated. thanks

 

It would block exactly one din height less than if you were to put it up top.

All jokes aside, it's doable and probably a much better solution. You would just need a single din GXE or 4th gen pocket and a GXE dash kit, because Metra/Scosche do not allow for a HU on the bottom.

 

well id still like to see wut itd look like if anyone has pictures....what does the single din gxe look like any links?

 

never mind i think i found one and it covers up the vents more than id like....any one know of a double din that has nav and does dvd's for under $750?
