Two wires in trunk keyhole?

I am putting a backup camera in my key hole in the truck. While trying to take out the key mechanism I saw two wires. One blue the other black. Hit the key fob to lock/unlock doors and pop trunk. Nothing happened with the wires. Then I stuck the key in a turned it (with the doors locked as well as with them unlocked) and still could not tell a difference. The key fob as well as the "trunk release" in the door use a mechanism that is in the bottom part of the trunk and not in the trunk lid itself. All that said, anyone know what know what the two wires are that connect to the back of the key mechanism?

Good question. I've got a camera in my keyhole and I just disconnected it from the keyhole mechanism - I have no problems with any functions.
