Do non-Bose cars have tweets in the doors?

When I got my 97, it already had an aftermarket HU and speakers all around in the stock locations, along with the stock tweeters in the doors. Did cars that did NOT have the BOSE system from the factory come with tweeters in the doors?

Paper tweets- were they on the mids in the doors, or seperate up by the handle?
IIRC 95-96 4th gens had the tweets in the pillars, and the 97-99's had the tweets in the doors- if they had them.

So then, if it DIDN'T have BOSE, then it would not have ANY seperate tweeters at all, just whatever was in the door?
