Question about bass control

I swapped in a new dash board yesterday, and now my bass control doesnt work. Everything has power, and when the cable is plugged into the bass control- the subs dont work. When I unplug the bass control- the subs do work but are always on.

I want to contol the bass from the control only, like I used to. I'm thinking maybe we weren't supposed to connect something behind the radio and noww when I connect the control it just stops working?

Its a hi-fonics amp. The amp and the subs were never touched. And the amp shows power, and works fine without the bass control plugged in.

Did you unplugg the headunit while doing the install? I imagine you had to unplug the unit, maybe that stoped an option on the headunit when it reset itself.

I have no idea what happened.

When you have the bass control, do you have to set the radio up differently? I'm thinking there are 2 plugs, one for the bass control and 1 for the bass to work with the radio. If thats possible, I think we were supposed to keep the bass from the radio unplugged, and plug in the bass control instead. I would check it out, but I have no idea what im doing.

Dude all you do is connect it to the amp, done. Unless for someone reason yours is a powered Bass contriol which I highly doubt.

there is a problem probably in the wiring.

So one end comes from the amp, the other foes to the bass control. I'll double check it, but Im pretty sure everything is plugged in right. The bass control shows power, so it is connected to the amp.

Sounds like something is loose internally in the bass control side if the cable plugs into the bass control ensure it is fully inserted on both ends.
