Help with ground location

just curious , what part of the trunk are you grounding the amplifier too, I am having a problem of my amp cutting off when I notice I am playing a song with a lot of bass and the low note is loud.

Great title.............

Your ground has nothing to do with your amp shutting off.

need way more information.

how many subs are you running?
what are the vc configs, and how do you have them wired?
what's your gain set at?
install this yourself?

Theres a 99 % chance your clipping the amp and/or your woofers and its going into protection.

Naw, forgot to add my smiley's lol

BTW I have headroom like a **** now sub channel with the ac gain down at 1/3 I still have to run it at -24 on the HU (time to re-adjust gains), thanks for the hookup on the ac. No noise either . Only issue I had was with those damned PG rca's, swapped them out for some others, no more noise

Oh and it's lucky charms, their magically delicious.

To answer the OP's question, mine are just in front of the spare tire well/behind back seat....(maybe more solid metal or more closer tie to main frame of car), of course paint sanded off, with a proper grounding block/terminal....this done by Don...no noise or shutoffs.

Ok fellas, I found out that one my ground connection was loose (located by the jack storage bracket) so I rerouted the ground wiring to spare tire well, and I also re-adjusted the amp input sensor **** and I discovered that my cd player has a built in sub controls which the setting was set too high which was allowing my woofers to clip so the amp would shut off, I made the adjustments and everything is working fine.
