Hey all,

I know some of you guys/gals have these portable navigation units and I'm thinking about purchasing one of them. The one I'm looking for is the Garmin c340. The price is about $300 shipped but then this place is offering a 3 year extended warranty (outside vendor). I don't know if its a total of 4 years or 3 years and I lose 1 year but regardless its $40.00 for the extended warranty. Do you think its worth the investment in buying the extended warranty? Any thoughts? Thanks!

Usually it cancels out the manufactur warrenty.
40 bucks isn't too bad. For that price I would prolly get one

 

3 year warranty means valid until 3 years after the date of purchase. manufactures and extended warranties are not added together. pretty much goes for all electronics sold nowadays. i would buy that extended warranty because it would be pretty much a replacement if this one you bought failed. what vendor are you buying it from?
