As many of you know, I am planning a nice upgrade to my sound system. I need your input on the following systems:

Head Unit: Eclipse 4441
CD Changer: Eclipse 5083

Scenario #1

Main Stage Amp: JL Audio 300.4
Component Speakers: Focal KX136 5.25" Components
Rear Speakers: JL Audio VR690 6x9 Coaxials
Subwoofer Amp: JL Audio 500.1
Subwoofers: JL Audio 12W3

Scenario #2
Amp: JL Audio 500.5
Component Speakers: Focal KX136 5.25" Components
Rear Speakers: JL Audio VR690 Coaxials
Subwoofer: JL Audio 12W3

Why would you think that?

I think that because I feel most 5 channel Amps are primarily aimed at entry level systems where people are looking for a quick fix. Adding a second amp adds more power, and can also be cheaper to replace if one dies.

Third Scenario

Scenario #3

This is actually a minor variation of Scenario #1 but instead of the 500.1 amp, I go with a RF Power 400.4 and add a capacitor to the equation since the system will be pushing damn near 1500 watts.

how'd you calculate 1500W from scenario 3?

Having two amps doesn't mean more power. If an amp dies, the system is screwed up anyways. You'll still be replacing an amp. A 5-channel amp is better than two because it has less wiring, takes up less space, less weight, and easily supports a 2-ohm load for the sub, which most two-channel amps can't. And the JL Audio 500.5 makes plenty of power. Plus, it doesn't waste a lot of power on the rear fill like a 4-channel amp would. Also, 5-channel amps are made with the same internals as the 2- and 4-channel amps in companies' line-ups, so there is no "entry level" about it. Some 5-channel amps make 1000+ watts, and I wouldn't call that entry level or a quick fix. That's the real deal.
