i'm getting this like thumping comming through the system only when the radio is on (i keep getting the disk error thing and havent fixed it yet so i been listening to FM) no idea what it is or where it could be causing. it happens if i hit a bump or tap on the center console anywhere hard enough. the antenna mast has been disconnected and removed by the last owner.

any ideas what this could be so i dont go crazy before i have the $$ for a nice dvd player?

 

No antenna, but your still able to listen to FM?

Have you checked all connections Especially the ground?

 

the antenna in the rear windshield picks up fm

and wheres the ground for it?

 

Thats not the one that gets used when using the adaptor for Nissan to aftermarket, hence my curiosity.

I cant tell you where the installer grounded your HU, but you need to check it and confirm its direct to chassis.

 

installer? the HU i have is the stock bose POS one
