Looking for a box design...Atlas 15

Hi,

I am currently using a 3.2 CU FOOT ported box tuned to 35HZ.

I want to run a sealed setup for a while, so I can gain some trunk space back.
I am not sure what size of a sealed box I want. But I only listen to rap music.

Basically I want it so I can use my trunk.

Let me know if anyone needs more information.

try 2.0 NET sealed. your sub roughly displaces .2 cu ft, so make a box that's 2.2.

had my 15 in a 2.0 net sealed, and it sounded pretty nice.

what is your goal in sub bass reproduction? If you want 60hz and down go with 2.4-2.5 gross and it will be more low end than you can imagine. If you want efficient bass in the 40hz and up to about 80-90 with emphasis on the high end make it around 2 cubes...can't you change the QTS on the Atlas though?

Not sure about the QTS, All I know is that there are 2 terminals on the Atlas. One is gold and the other is silver. I know I am suppose to send power to the silver ones. IIRC the gold terminals are connected together at the moment. I forgot what this setting does. But I do remember you telling me on aim what it meant. hmmmm There was 3 settings for that gold terminal. One was nothing connecting them, the other was with a resistor, and last was connecting it with a wire....
Ill prolly go for a 2.4-2.5 range for box size. Whats a good height I should go so that the 15 can fit comfortabley in and I don't break the wood cutting the circle... IIRC the cut out on the atlas is 14.4in I was thinking somewere along the lines of 16 inches but not sure.. any input?

16.5 to be on the safe side...since you were tuned to 35 like I was with my ava 15...if you want that ridiculous peak in output at 40hz and up...soot for around 2.1-2.2 gross. Yeah I'm rusty on the atlas settings but give Chad a call.
