I would go with something better than those... something like the Rainbow X-Plain 8's.

really? why? i would only be using them for 80-500hz...
or i could run some CDT M6s but at twice the price and smaller i don't think they would perform as well.

also if putting a 8'' midbass back there is stupid aka i will not be able to appriciate it/can't fit... feel free to chime in.

For that frequency range you'd still want the speakers in the front. Unlike the lower frequencies produced by subwoofers, you'll still be able to tell where the sound is coming from. If they are behind you, they will screw up your soundstage.

THe kickers, from when I used them, didn't sound good at all. I definately felt that they lacked alot and didn't give me what I wanted. No experience with the CDT's so I'm not sure. I love my 7" Dayton rs180-4's they make'em in 8" versions as well and they provide quite a bit of midbass.

I would only put 8"ers back there if I was going to use them for sub duty. Ideally if you want more midbass 8's in the front doors would be better with a 3 - way system incorporating a midbass midrange and tweeter.

Just go with a beefier/more capable midbass driver. That range is Exactly whats needed there.

ok so that is a good place to put midbass speakers excellent i thought it would be fine with those low frequencies not to directional. now what do you reccomend that i use? i'd like to stay under $200 shipped if possible...i don't want to win competitions i just want some serious midbass.

I'd do the RS225's or X-Plains if you're looking for some authority (they will fall out of your budget).

why not put those in your back deck and put w/e you have in your deck into your doors, i assume you have some type of aftermarket 3-ways or something...

I hope he's not running 3-ways, if it was that simple I'm sure he would just do it.

The 3-ways would have torn up his front stage .
