unamped components? HELP!

how bad will a pair of unamped components sound? i dont have the money to buy both an amp and a the speakers but im sick and tired of listening to my distorted BOSE speakers and need to get something new fast. the 2 components im deciding between are:

Rainbow 5.25's
http://car.rainbow-audio.de/products...n=7&art=231149
or Polk 6.5's
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-m1bZOd5...DB6500&g=52000

any opinions on the above speakers? i know the rainbows are much better quality but i wasnt sure if since they were 1.25" smaller if that would seriously decrease their ability to produce a fair amount of bass (im not a bass head by any means i just like a little bump in my music)

suggestions?

How exactly do you plan on running speakers that are 4ohm with a Bose HU/amps?

You can run them, but they won't run anywhere near their potential.

Not gonna work, I mean it'll work but not sound as good as it can.. amp is a must on comps and I can't even believe you're comparing rainbows to polks.... why not the 6.5 rainbows instead??

Get the Rainbows. Also, what year is your car and why aren't you using the 6.5" version?

i can get the 5.25 rainbows for the same price as the polks, and i dont have the money for the 6.5's or i would get them, same reason i dont have the money for an amp. how much of a pain in the a$$ is it going to be to hook up an amp after i install the speakers if i do decide to just put them in without an amp for a while? will i have to rewire the entire thing again?

Depends how much initial work you do as far as the speaker wiring is concerned. Either way an amp install is involved.

I would get pieces and put them all in together once you have them all. Start with the 6.5 rainbows. Then an amp, then sound deadening.
