3rd. gen. HU replacement

I've been searching for a good reference (step by step?) for replacing my 3rd. gen Clarion HU with aftermarket, probably keeping the amp & speakers. Can't seem to find one.

Can anyone please direct me to a step by step install post please?
Thanks
